We started out doing
children's lap quilts. We donated some to the Rainbow Room at Child
Protective Services in
Dallas, Brighter Tomorrow in Grand Prairie, and the Pregnancy
Resource Center in Grand Prairie.
After Bob was diagnosed with cancer,
one of the ladies suggested we make him a throw quilt for the cold
chemo rooms. Since then we have made quilts for Beau, Ruby, & Carol
Murphy's brother-in-law and a
friend of Don's.
At this time, we have decided to
try to concentrate our efforts within our church family, as we
have started teaching 4 or 5 new quilters and are working on a
project that each quilter can keep. However we are open to requests
as time allows.
Our group usually meets the first
Saturday of each month - please check with the church office to
